WRENTHAM CONCERT ON THE COMMON



Dear Students and Parents/Guardians:

The annual concert on the common is a community service opportunity for our program. Having done it for over 30 years, it is greatly appreciated by the town. Please dress weather appropriate.

SUNDAY, JUNE 4, 2017


5:00 PM Arrive at front of High School – pack stands and percussion on truck – get instrument if left at school. For those who have taken instrument home please report to Common at 5:30 PM (Lights need to be packed to hold over students so they can see music.)

5:30 PM Set-up on Common

6:00 PM Concert Begins

7:30 PM Concert Ends – reload truck

8:00 PM Empty truck into school

There are no busses to this event. Walking to the common or driving up after getting
your instrument is expected.

YEAR END LOGISITICS - 2017

Dear Band Member:

Below is a list of important facts and items you need to be aware of. Please keep this document for reference.
  1. Performances:
  1. June 4 – Wrentham Common (Symphony Band/Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble & Steel Band)
Report Time: 5:00 PM
Dress: Sun-dresses, etc. like pops concert attire
Bring bug spray
Concert performance begins at 6:00 – Ends at approx.. 8:00PM

B) June 11 – Graduation – (Concert/Symphony Band & Steel Band)

Report time: 11:00am Help pack truck
Bus will depart for Stonehill College at 12:00pm
Event will be over at approximately 5:00pm
We will be back to KPHS at Approx. 6:30pm
Dress – Spring Concert attire.

For information about the district requirements and lists of solos please access the following web-site and you can click on auditions. Check often as an update should be posted at anytime.

3. Summer lessons and programs

Please consider keeping your instrument fresh. There are many different opportunities:
Among them are participation in the
Foxboro jazz camp
Summer lessons with your teacher.
Developing your technique opens your world to great music. Come back in the fall ready to raise KP Music to the next level.

DO NOT SETTLE FOR YOUR PRESENT LEVEL OF ACHIEVEMENT!!

Welcome Back
I hope all students and staff had a restful and relaxing summer. We have another great year ahead of us.

Be sure to register for lessons ASAP! Chamber groups are being formed and will be posted soon! The Calendar is posted on the music page for information about rehearsals and performances and other important dates.
